On the Road

It finally feels like I'm on the road. NJ Transit and the cab this morning were stressful but familiar. Now, with my giant duffel squished into an overhead compartment on a completely full Memorial Day Acela, I'm taking a portion of this trip I've never taken before.

Driving north out of the city is beautiful, but I never really get a chance to look around. I'm a sucker for large expanses of trees with the city in the background--it may be my favorite thing about Central Park.

So I'm on the road. I'm not quite sure what to do with myself now--do I start trying to build a new routine by fishing out Sir Philip Sidney? Or do I continue with a sleep-deprived reading of Infinite Jest?

For now, I'm just looking out the window.
